Isaac

Erin Isaac is leaving her position as spokeswoman for Republican Senate candidate Linda McMahon just a few weeks before the state’s August primary.

Kate Duffy, who will take over for Isaac as spokeswoman, confirmed in a call with Capitol Watch that Isaac has left the campaign. Duffy declined to saying anything else about the circumstances surrounding Isaac’s departure.

CT Politics blog says that Isaac contacted a few members of the press yesterday to announce the departure for “unspecified family reasons.” Isaac will be replaced by Kate Duffy, McMahon’s deputy spokeswoman, according to the blog.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel in 2009 reported that Isaac worked for former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist for three years.
