- Well, OK I see your point, they have a stronger differential than men, which seems to account for the small overall margin for Murphy. But…
“Right now, they are with Murph”
- I think it’s better to say a small majority of women are with Murph; a very substantial minority seem to be with McMahon. So they are not really “they” and do not seem prepared to vote as a bloc.
I would like to say I’m encouraged that “they” – women, that is – do not seem to be lining up behind McMahon *just because she’s a woman*. Although I support McMahon, I don’t support “identity politics” wherein some people feel they can’t represented by someone of a different race/gender/religion.
