Mega-Dittos, Mike Fedele?
A link for Republican Mike Fedele’s Stamford mayoral campaign has appeared on a Rush Limbaugh Facebook fan page, prompting a swift response from Fedele’s Democratic opponent.
“Rush Limbaugh represents why politics has become dysfunctional and polarized. He speaks on behalf of the worst and most hateful among us and the vitriol he spews on a daily basis poisons our debate,” Democrat William Tong said in a release. “I believe strongly in the First Amendment, but I also believe in honest, sincere, and well-meaning dialogue, and Mr. Limbaugh does not fit any of those categories. He should have no role in Stamford’s mayor’s race and I am calling on Mike Fedele to renounce his endorsement immediately.”
However the page referenced by Tong is not affiliated with or run by the conservative talk show host, according to a disclaimer at the top of the page. “Rush Limbaugh does not operate the Rush Limbaugh and the EIB Network fanpage. We are simply enthusiasts of his work,” the disclaimer states.
There’s no indication that Limbaugh has endorsed Fedele — or anyone else in the Stamford mayor’s race.

Tong has no idea what he’s talking about…if that’s who the voters of Stamford want for mayor(and Malloy may be a good indication of their wishes)then they deserve the mess they create
I’m sure Mr. Tong is busy purging all his accounts and comments before M. Fedele answers in kind. Can a link to the “working families” socialist party be far behind?
I feel as if this isn’t as big of an issue as all of you are making it out to be. So what it’s a fake Facebook account, it doesn’t change the fact that Rush Limbaugh is a joke and pretty much scum of the Earth.
And you’re a pretty much horse’s arse Gerald.
Now that I think about it you and Rush Limbaugh seem to have a lot in common, you both tend to make unintelligent, baseless statements. You should probably think before you speak (or in this case type ) because if you don’t you come off as completely ignorant and moronic like you just did. Good job.
Gerald has shown himself to be a liberal because as we know, only liberals can judge who is intelligent and wise. Liberals have all the answers and the rest of us are deemed unworthy to measure up to their elite standards. Another member of the party of tolerance heard from.
Does the same reasoning apply to Al Sharpton?

It’s pretty unbelievable you can’t even realize how hypocritical you just sounded in that post…talk about unintelligent, baseless statements coming off as ignorant and moronic…
Rush Limbaugh is like a dog whistle: humans can’t hear him.
Does the same reasoning apply to Al Sharpton?
William Tong has been my representative since 2006 and has done an excellent job. This is kinda confusing with the whole facebook account being fake but I will most def be voting for Mr. Tong in the upcoming election.
What does that say this say about Fedele if he is getting a bunch of Rush Limbaugh faithful to support him? It isnt his official page but if the same people who listen to this guy’s garbage are supporting Fedele I think this might say something about this Fedele guy…
Does the same reasoning apply to Al Sharpton?
It’s a FAN page. It has nothing to do with Rush Limbaugh. If no one in the press is smart enough to check, they should be fired — and if Mr. Tong is credulous enough to fall for this, he should certainly not be holding elective office. I know nothing about the other candidate, but I certainly know that Tong is dumb now.
We said the following (No affiliation with Limbaugh):

William Tong’s attempt to somehow distort our words toward Mike Fedele as an official endorsement from Rush Limbaugh is the kind of manipulative political gaming no person in our country should support, no matter their party. We believe in transparent, intelligent and honest candidates who do right by their voters and their constituencies.
As we have said from the start, this is a fan page run by people unaffiliated with Rush Limbaugh and not an official outlet for the news anchor. Rush Limbaugh’s own page can be found below, where he expresses the same separation between our page and his official organization.

Rush Limbaugh’s official page said:

“LIKE IT! This is the only official Rush Facebook page. There’s a Rush Limbaugh Facebook fan page that I have nothing to do with, and whoever runs that page makes it clear that the page is not affiliated with or run by me. I have nothing to do with it.”
Mr. Fedele certainly cannot control whether a fan page of Rush Limbaugh’s says something nice about him. But from what I know of Fedele, he has been a big supporter of the Stamford community, served in city government and then as a state representative. Everything I’ve seen tells me he’s a good guy.
[...] sneaky political maneuvering did not work as he hoped. First reported by Daily Ructions and then by Daniela Altimari of the Hartford Courant, the news media quickly sniffed out Tong’s ploy. He was hit hard for his [...]
