  1. Connecticut is Circling the Drain

The sun rises in the east so there must be another article extolling the virtues of Democrats and their stance on gun control.

Even a broken clock tells time twice a day.

  2. Richard

Discussing the property tax on the Empire State Building? Or doing a little more Union Busting there to get the costs in line.

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal’s net worth ranks him the sixth wealthiest member of Congress, but one of the candidates for Connecticut’s open Senate seat could be a contender for the top spot and would easily make the Top 10.

In a story Thursday, Roll Call reported Blumenthal’s minimum net worth at $79.1 million, mainly because of his wife’s family assets.

Cynthia Blumenthal is the daughter of New York real estate magnate Peter Malkin, who owns a “real estate company in Sao Paulo, Brazil, multiple properties in midtown Manhattan and entities that leased and operated the Empire State Building,” according to Roll Call

    1. CT Citizen

That cant be true! The parasite and Dick,Blumenthal says he needs your $5 donation to fight law abiding citizens rights and the NRA.

  3. Fed Up

Just one more example of Murphy and Bloomberg wasting taxpayer money discussing something of which they have absolutely no knowledge. Visiting a gun range does not make one knowledgeable about guns.

  4. johngaltwhereru

I hear there was just a mass casualty explosion at the Boston Marathon.

When can we expect the Courant, the rest of the Media, Bloomberg, Murphy and Blumenthal to begin advocating for a ban on the sale and possession of the components used to make bombs? Wires, common switches, perhaps fertilizer? These products are killing machines, and on top of that, you have no Constitutional right to own them.

We must be sure to ignore the mental health of the bomber, as it was the bomb that killed people. No aspect of the legislation should be geared towards increasing availability of mental health treatment or facilities.

And god forbid this act was commited by an Islamic Extremist. I know, I know, what would possibly make me think that when there have been no reports of the identity of the perptrator. We had better not start any type of profiling. The fact that the overwhelming majority of bomb detonating terrorists are Middle Eastern Muslims is irrelevant. Regardless of who did this, it is the bomb’s fault.

    1. The e-Conn-omist

But did President Obama use the phrase “terrorist attack” in his first speech after the event? That’s the important thing.

      1. Johngaltwhereru

Nope. He said he would bring justice to those responsible.

At which point, those responsible laughed, called the people responsible for Benghazi, and asked how the last 7 months of Obama’s relentless pursuit of Justice was treating them.

        1. The e-Conn-omist

They are probably hiding in the same place as bin Laden where Bush could not find him. Thank God President Obama finally brought Bin Laden to justice. I’m sure he will get the bad guys. It’s only been 7 months. Unlike Bush’s 7 YEARS of failure.

          1. Fed Up

leave it to wildbill to stretch and herniate any issue just to squeeze in a barb at Bush. As always, it’s Bushs fault – even Benghazi and the death of our people. What a fool

          2. johngaltwhereru

What did Obama do? Brought Bin Laden to justice?

Obama gave approval to raid Bin Laden’s compound after information gained during the Bush Administration, with procedures Obama diapproved of, were used to find Bin Laden.

Can any lefties out there who think Obama did something of value answer this:

What would have happened to Obama politically had it been leaked that Obama was informed of Bin Laden’s location and failed to act on that information?

          3. The e-Conn-omist

            Bush bad – Clinton’s fault
            Bush good – Bush’s credit
            Obama bad – Obama’s fault
            Obama good – Bush’s credit

            I see a pattern, don’t you?

If Bush got bin Laden we would never hear the end of it. Who can forget Bush landing on a carrier and the huge Mission Accomplished banner. Brings tears to my eyes.

          4. johngaltwhereru

Bush was a disaster. He spent like a Liberal. He started unnecessary wars like a Liberal. Worst of all, he appointed John Roberts to SCOTUS, and his term resulted in an Obama Presidency which are reason enough to include him among the worst Presidents of all time.

How is that for a pattern?

Now Obama is exponentially worse, but I can’t imagine you criticizing him for anything.

Why don’t you regale us about Obama’s failures? Real stuff please. Not stuff like a failure to obtain Single Payer, permanently Nationalize banks, raise minimum wage to $50 per hour, or other subjects of Liberal wet dreams. I mean more like his grotesque mismanagement of the economy, the persistent unemployment under his watch, or other clearly measurable stuff.

    2. Kim

John: I was thinking the exact same thing last night when I saw the news reports.

Manufacturers of wires, common switches, etc in CT should no longer be allowed to sell their produts in this state, but they are welcome to continue making them here. If they choose to leave, there aren’t that many of them but the state’s focus needs to be on the safety of its citizens (not from criminals mind you, but from other honest, law abiding citizens).

The president needs to drag the families of the victims to WashingDONE for display and emotional appeals. The taxpayers can foot the bill.

  5. Jim

Are you for real? How old are you and how far did you get in grade school?

Do you have something stuck up your behind that keeps irritating you – like circling the drain?

      1. Johngaltwhereru

        Jim,

I have two Doctorate Degrees. How about you.

Total disregard for the U.S. Constitution is irritating me.

The thing that was stuck up my behind, along with yours, was Obamacare. It caused me to leave the Country.

I am for real. I am repulsed by the Liberal politicians and media ignoring reality in favor of political correctness. I am sick of politicians governing to the lowest common denominator. I am sick of rights being revoked because it is politically incorrect to address the actual problems in society.

        Thanks for asking.

    1. The e-Conn-omist

Jim, yeah John’s pretty much like the circling the drain guy. An Obama hater with a slightly larger vocabulary. A right-wing nutjob with most of their usual opinions. A troll.

    2. Fed Up

Jim, judging by your post I’m guessing you didn’t get as far as grade school. I’m also guessing that you’re wildbill pretending to be Jim. The absence of reason, logic, facts and commonsense – and the presence of emotions – is a good clue.

    3. Fed Up

Jim, you’ve reached the pinnacle of worthless posting now that you have e-CONN rooting for you. In fact you are probably wildbill himself once again engaging in multiple conversations with yourself.

  6. Johngaltwhereru

  9. Jim

Anal retentiveness rears its ugly head when you least expect it. Did one of your Doctorates include a spelling course?

Oh, and BTW, after a little tweaking, I will be quite happy with Obamacare. And please, stay where you are. You could be public menace. You were not by chance in Boston today, were you, Doctor Doctor?

My degrees are not important here. But you are welcome to shove yours up your ass. I did only ask you how far you went in grade school. Can’t you even answer a simple question?

    1. Connecticut is Circling the Drain

      Jim,

It appears that Dr. Galt’s one misspelling was a keyboard error as I have known him to be quite good at the written word.

So what’s your point in all of this? You question our schooling and then brush off as irrelevant when the good doctor responds with degrees earned? That smacks of troll-like behavior.

Whats living up my ass is unchecked liberalism and its effects on this country. Obamacare was rammed through in the middle of the night with dubious congressional maneuvering and payola for votes. Its stole $500B from Medicare with the blessing of the liberal AARP which is supposed to advocate for seniors. It is another mammoth entitlement program that will add to the tens of trillions of unfunded entitlement liabilities we already have. For what- insuring less than 10% of us?

Liberals are killing the economy. We can’t continue to spend $1T more than we take in each year and have the Federal reserve print money in a ruinous shell game called quantitative easing. We can’t afford the Government we have let alone grow more Government.

Liberals are killing society. Institutions like marriage, schools, and organized religion are crumbling and demonized to make way for gay marriage, legalizing pot, abortions, and freebies for illegal aliens. Its a pathetic decline in morals and societal norms.

Liberals are destroying the constitution by chipping away at our constitutional rights in the name of transparency and public safety. Witness the recent coopting of the Sandy Hook tragedy for the liberal agenda.

Liberals like you Jim are part of our problem in this country. Offer up some real debate and dialogue or we’ll dismiss you as another troll.

      1. Jeb Potchagalloop

America is Dying can’t seek help. Too far gone. He is the troll under various aliases – the most infamous being Kim (Kimmerian) the Troll who we found enjoys a romp to the men’s room on the New Jersey Turnpike on a Saturday evening where he goes off sniffing drainpipes and reciting the alphabet. Other aliases of his are: America is Circling the Drain; Patrick Henry; Liberalism is a Mental disorder and Enough Already. A real troll. A troller’s troll. A retiree’s dream occupation.

        1. Connecticut is Circling the Drain

Seriously? That’s rich coming from you Billy/Jimmy/Jeb/Susan/Gunskillkids. Aren’t you also the guy who writes under all our names?

        2. gunskillkids

poor cats-man, still obsessed with visions of good times in mens restrooms under a variety of personalities and still pretending that he knows what he’s talkng about.

Do you change your costumes to match your name when you’re turning tricks in the boys’ rooms, billyboy?

      2. The e-Conn-omist

There, Jim, the drain guy made it easy for you. All the psycho-right’s positions in one easy message. Woe is them. Galt believes all of these same things but you have to wade through a ton of BS to find out at rock bottom he’s just another Obama hater.

        1. Johngaltwhereru

I’m not just an Obama hater. I hate any Liberal who endeavors to destroy The Constitution. Obama is just one example of this type of person.

  10. Kim

Honesty and facts are missing from the gun debate. Here’s a taste of both if you have the stomach for the truth (of course that excludes liberals and democrats)

    http://jewishworldreview.com/cols/sowell041613.php3

    Among the uncomfortable statements:

“The Cato Institute estimates upwards of 100,000 defensive uses of guns per year. Preventing law-abiding citizens from defending themselves can cost far more lives than are lost in the shooting episodes that the media publicize. The lives saved by guns are no less precious, just because the media pay no attention to them.

Many people who have never fired a gun in their lives, and never faced life-threatening dangers, nevertheless feel qualified to impose legal restrictions that can be fatal to others. And politicians eager to “do something” that gets them publicity know that the votes of the ignorant and the gullible are still votes.

Virtually nothing that is being proposed in current gun control legislation is likely to reduce murder rates.”

Let the name-calling and misdirection begin.

  11. Fed Up

hey wildbill/gunskill/e-Conn, do you have any ties to Joette Katz? She clearly has an entitlement mentality and thinks nothing of abusing taxpayer money.

  12. Fitte.ru - ??? ????????????? ??????????????? ?????? ??????.

Excellent goods from you, man. I’ve take note your stuff prior to and you are just extremely magnificent. I really like what you have acquired here, certainly like what you are saying and the way in which by which you are saying it. You are making it entertaining and you still care for to keep it wise. I can not wait to read much more from you. That is really a great web site.

    1. Jeb Potchagalloop

here is a little history of this freak of nature. the piece speaks for itself. this is the kind of person that the right wing nuts have to defend themselves. To wit:

“Last year, the poster, Kim, was also known as Kimmerian in the Hartford Courant threads at the end of articles. If you didn’t agree with him, he became aggressive and negative as he is now. At one point, he began a repetitive invitation to a leftist-leaning poster called “The Professor” to perform fellatio on him. This outrageous demand went on for days.

I finally drew on my nascent readings of Freudian psychology and composed a portrait of Kim relating this fixation to early childhood dysfunction and a lack of maternal bonding. After I expressed this theory, Kim stopped repeating his obnoxious request.

I contacted a psychology friend of mine and asked her about this profile I made of Kim. She told me that although there was insufficient information to determine the origins of this abnormal request, the prospect for being correct was quite good.”

      1. Jeb Potchagalloop

Oh, I forgot to add, now what how he, Kim, Fed-up, guns -kill-kids, circling the drain, America Dying, Patrick Henry. the personas go on. And he has the gall to accuse me of assuming multiple names. becomes unhinged and spastic.

      2. Jeb Potchagalloop

for Kim, I know you will not believe me, but I don’t post and I don’t read these blogs anymore. i live in the real world. I (we) who work for gun reform are effective and work behind the scenes. These blogs are for amaturs.

      3. Jeb Potchagalloop

I post under a dozen different names while claiming to live ‘in the real world’ – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I am a compulsive liar and get upset when not believed – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I verbally attack and abuse all who disagree with me – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I forget which name I am posting under and repeat messages that I’ve sent under different names – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I pretend to levels of education, expertise and professionalism that I obviously have not achieved – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I help myself to words and phrases that other posters use when I think they’ll make me appear intelligent – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I am incapable of separating fact from fantasy while insisting everyone else is wrong –

MY MISTAKE – I AM CONFUSED AND OBSESSED!

    2. Jeb Potchagalloop

I post statements denying that I post statements – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

Then, after responding to the posts of others, I claim that I don’t read these posts any longer – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I see my obsession (Kim) behind every word and every post I don’t read – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I copy and paste something that I have copied and pasted perhaps 18 times before – but I’m not confused or obsessed.

I am the lurker in the public mens’ room flashing the $10.00 bill under the stall when you think you’re alone. In this regard – I AM obsessed but NOT confused.

I am billyboy. I am gunskillkids. I am wildbill. I am jimmyboggs. I am katz.

      I am – INSANE.

      Welcome to my monkey house.

      1. Ode to Billy Katz

Remember when you ran away and I got on my knees and begged you not to leave because I’d go berzerk?

Well, you left me anyhow and the days got worse and worse and now you see I’ve gone completely out of my mind.

And They’re coming to take me away Ha Ha

They’re coming to take me away ho ho he he ha ha

          BTW, you are being watched.

          1. Fed Up

How accurate can a post be? This is wildbill ‘not posting’ and ‘not reading’ these blogs because he lives ‘in the real word’?

Like Jeb said: a compulsive liar

          2. Fed Up

            ‘You’re being watched’?

Do you recall precisely when the cheese fell off your cracker?

When did you become French and start using ‘we’ all the time? Oh, I get it – you’re still pretending that you speak for anyone besides yourselves.

Is this what it’s like ‘having an effect’ in ‘the real world’?

Time to install a rubber room in your home so you don’t hurt yourself

I just read about Chris Matthew’s coverage of the Boston Bombing last night.

It was perfectly predictable that he would blame right wing extremists and tax day for the bombing. Everyone should expect that from that idiot.

But then, demonstrating what a moron he truly is, Matthews stated that Patriot’s Day and Tax Day don’t mean anything to Middle Eastern Extremists.

That may be true, and I’m confident some of you lefties concur. Of course, this would be completely ignorant of the fact that yesterday was Israeli Independence Day.

I can’t remember. Who is it that can’t stand Israel and refuse to acknowledge Israel’s Independence or existence? Is it one of the Tea Party groups? I don’t remember hatred of Israel being part of the Tea Party platform. I’m sure it will come to me eventually.

    1. Johngaltwhereru

Chris and the rest of you racist lefties must be so disappointed that reality trumped you deepest desires that the Boston Bombing suspects were white Tea Party activists.

  14. Patriot

Why isn’t the media screaming about the police in Boston ordering businesses to close and people to remain inside their homes? Has martial law been declared?

I understand the concerns about the bombers, but I’m more concerned about this government ‘putsch’ and the lack of outcry against it.

Sure it’s easier to search for a suspect if no one is allowed out into the streets. Using that logic, it would be even easier if they simply rounded everyone up and herded them into football and baseball stadiums. How easy would it then be to locate a suspect when he would be the only one not in custody?

We could give these ‘processing centers’ nice friendly names like ‘gulag’ or ‘work camps’ or even ‘Auschwitz’ and ‘Dachau’. The police could separate anyone they thought had any knowledge at all of these bombers, and start pulling fingernails and breaking knuckles to get them to tell what they know (or don’t know). Hell, it worked with the Japanese didn’t it? Let’s round everyone up

This is why the government is taking your guns, people. It’s not too late to see the light but time is running out.

A creative and interesting article headline is essential. Headlines with interest will be much more alluring than boring ones. Take the time to consider different ideas before settling on a headline. Even ask some friends and family which one’s they like.^
