U.S. Senate candidate Chris Murphy has a new television ad, and it’s called “Differences.”

In the ad, Murphy, a Democrat, says his family is rooted in the middle class, and he talks about how his jobs plan starts with a “buy American initiative” that is designed to create jobs in Connecticut. He also mentions that his tax plan would cut taxes for the middle class.

Murphy says that his opponent, Republican Linda McMahon, has proposed a jobs plan that would give herself a $7 million tax cut. In addition, Murphy says McMahon’s plan would cut programs for the middle class and Medicare for senior citizens.

“Linda McMahon has never fought for the middle class, I do,” Murphy says.

Todd Abrajano, McMahon’s spokesman, responded to Murphy’s new ad Thursday.

“Congressman Murphy never lets the truth get in his way, and he should be ashamed of himself for misrepresenting the facts and being untruthful to Connecticut voters,” Abrajano said. “It’s clear that Congressman Murphy will do and say anything to continue his failed political career, even if it means falsely attacking Linda McMahon.”
