NRA To Hold Lobby Day At State Capitol Monday

by Categorized: Newtown Date:

The NRA and other pro-gun groups in the state announced plans to push back against efforts to move forward on gun control legislation, just hours after Democrat and Republican lawmakers released their proposals.

On Monday, the NRA, along with the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the Coalition of Connecticut Sportsmen and the Connecticut Citizens Defense League will lobby lawmakers at the capitol. The groups have called on all Second Amendment supporters to join them in telling legislators they \”oppose passage of sweeping anti-gun legislation that is riddled with failed policies and infringes on the rights of law-abiding citizens.\”

East Hartford Gun store Cabela\’s will offer free parking and provide transportation to and from the event, which takes place at 10 a.m. Monday.

Is there going tobe extra security? Because we know how “violent” these people are.

Wow. At least now we know how ignorant JBlock is.

I unfortunately cannot make the rally because ::gasp:: I have a job and need to be there.

No wonder the “march for change” managed to get 5k people. Not too hard to find a bunch of soccer moms with nothing to do at 10am on a weekday!

Greg: Yes, it was. But then, most fur trappers don’t understand more subtle usage of language.

The state maintenance department will have to spray after the rally. Rat smell and cuties. Fur trappers.
