2 Responses to Obama: Jeeps Will Be Built Here, Not In China

  1. johngaltwhereru says:

Chrysler, during Obama’s vaunted rescue of the Auto Industry, was bought by Italian Car Company Fiat.

Fiat’s Italian CEO in articles that emphasize US Jeep production is not being shipped to China, went on to say that they are going to keep building Jeeps in China.

But what is truth if it is inconvenient to Obama?

  2. Free enterprise. They can build Jeeps wherever they like. We don’t want to put regulations in their way.

Before being sold to Fiat Chrysler was owned by Cerebus Capital, a private equity firm much like Romney’s Bain Capital. Before that they were owned by Daimler Benz, a German company. Not that it matters much as these companies are all multinational.

Large corporations have little to complain about. The S&P 500 has almost doubled under Obama. Lots of profits there despite the scary scary regulations and dreadful business uncertainty.
