U.S. Reps. Nancy Pelosi and Rosa DeLauro will bring their campaign to highlight the economic issues facing American women to Connecticut on Friday.

Pelosi and DeLauro are scheduled to visit the North Branford office of Penn Globe Gaslight Co., which manufactures outdoor lighting.

Among the officials expected to attend is state Sen. Dante Bartolomeo of Meriden.

Pelosi and DeLauro kicked off their effort to highlight women\’s economic issues earlier this week. According to MSNBC, they plan to focus on three areas: the wage gap between men and women, access to child care and paid family and medical leave.

Thanks for the warning. Run far away from these two socialist hags.

earlier this morning it was billed as ‘Pelosi’s woman’s economic agenda….now we find out that our gifted Rosa has joined the battle as well….how about the muslim women living under sharia law in their homes…where is the outcry to allow them to wear what they want, go where they want and in other words enjoy the same rights as all Americans…these two have no idea about ‘women’s rights’…yet many will follow them blindly….

By all means, keep it up, ‘wingers. The rest of the world truly enjoys leaving you cussing on the curb while we drive away into the sunset.

You may be right. Liberals, “progressives,” and socialists have co-opted the Democrat party and our Government. The media is complicit and supportive of their agenda with very few exceptions and those exceptions (e.g. Fox) are excoriated for having dissenting views. Young people are being brainwashed by public schools and liberal professors. The growing urban entitlement class has been bought with free stuff from Democrats. Federal and state Government workers have an unbreakable bond with Democrats they elect in exchange for unsustainable pay and benefit packages. Illegals are rewarded with citizenship and free stuff in exchange for their future Democrat votes. RINO Republicans are Democrats who haven’t come out of the closet yet. It certainly doesn’t look good for conservatives in this country.

If one looks at our future honestly, it does appear that our country’s days are numbered. You may call it progress; I call it a slow motion disaster unfolding before our very eyes.

As you drive off into the sunset, remember that your country is sunsetting also. Its only a matter of time.

They won’t be happy until they bankrupt the country and turn us into a banana republic.

Your right-wing paradise is overseas in North Korea, Iran or the Soviet Union. Have a pleasant trip!

I m a woman and I am ashamed and saddened that these two dingbats who have ruined and continue to ruin this country are the face of women in Congress.

So DeLauro was there to tell company owners Michelle Stonier and Marcia Lafemina that they need to give their workers more paid time off—and DeLauro will introduce legislation to FORCE them to do so. No wonder CT is rated the worst state in the country for business. Kill business and you kill jobs. Between clowns like DeLauro in congress and a state legislature that thinks raising taxes is the solution to everything, it’s no surprise that Forbes calls CT a “death spiral state”. Search “Rosa DeLauro Exposed” for more.

Christopher Schaefer you are incorrect. Forbes does NOT list Connecticut as a death spiral state. See link:

There are ELEVEN Forbes death spiral states, but the list does NOT include Connecticut: Ohio, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, South Carolina, New York, Maine, Alabama, California, Mississippi, New Mexico. Forbes chose 11 states, over one fifth of the country, and Connecticut still did not make the list. Hey Forbes, do you rally believe 11 states are going to die? Even the low-tax retirement paradise of South Carolina is in a death spiral. Is no place safe?

So cheer up Connecticut, you are NOT in a death spiral according to Forbes magazine. Connecticut is not circling the drain.

But but but Fred….you said lists were irrelevant. Now you’re using a list to your advantage?

Face it: your party it slowly killing this state. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Connecticut IS a death-spiral state (and Rosa and Nancy are the twin pillars of evil as described by Zarathustra). The eleven Gs of force are dampened by the finance oligarchs in Fairfield. Since those wolves are tax-dodging scum, the first hiccup over on Wall Street’s super-ponzi pyramid known as the highly leveraged stock market is going to see a massive capital flight, and see the legs kicked right out from under the state budget. Hartford is going to rue the day it put all its eggs into Fairfield’s basket.
