Republican U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon will make a campaign swing through the heart of the state’s defense industry this week as she launched a new line of attack against her Democratic opponent Chris Murphy.
She plans to stop at Electric Boat in Groton at 6 a.m., then will tour several of the submarine maker’s suppliers. Similar stops are planned for Thursday and Friday.
On Tuesday, McMahon launched a new wave of attacks on Murphy, accusing him of waiting to cut the defense spending. Her criticism was underscored by a new ad making the same point.
