Report: Democrats “Truly Vulnerable” In November Gubernatorial Election

A Politico magazine report published Monday studied the 36 gubernatorial elections being held across the country this November and found Connecticut to be one of three states in which Democrats are “truly vulnerable.”

Gov. Malloy is seeking re-election this fall and faces a likely re-match against GOP frontrunner Tom Foley, the Republican candidate who lost to Malloy by fewer than 6,500 votes in 2010.

The article listed Arkansas and Illinois as the other two states where Democrats are most concerned about holding onto the governors’ office, and said that Republicans are most vulnerable in Florida, Maine, and Pennsylvania.
