Congressional candidate Andrew Roraback is an experienced leader and a proven fiscal conservative, an announcer in Roraback’s first TV advertisement says.

The 30-second advertisement stresses that Roraback was endorsed for the 5th District congressional seat by the Republican Party. It also says that Roraback, who is currently a state senator, fought against both a tax increase proposed by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and the New Britain-to-Hartford busway.

Speaking directly to viewers, Roraback talks about the need to create jobs and strengthen the economy.

“We must put people back to work, ” he says in the ad. “I’m ready to take my tax reduction plan to Washington, repeal Obamacare and end reckless spending.”

Roraback will face Justin Bernier, Mark Greenberg and Lisa Wilson-Foley in the Republican 5th District primary on Aug. 14.
