Roraback Holds Press Conference To Respond To Esty, DCCC Ads

Congressional candidate Andrew Roraback says the the television ads that target him include lies, and he wants them taken down.
Wednesday, he called a press conference to talk about the matter, saying that the ads shows that his opponent, Democrat Elizabeth Esty, has a pattern of distorting his record.
Voters deserve an honest debate about the issues, he said.
“Esty thinks being effective means lying about me,” Roraback said.
Roraback is referring to two ads. One was paid for by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and it links Roraback to Tea Party Republicans in Washington, D.C., saying that he is running on a ticket that is trying to end Medicare and force Connecticut seniors to pay more money every year to fund tax breaks for millionaires. The other ad was paid for by Esty’s campaign, and it says Roraback would put people’s retirement at risk if elected.
He played both ads for reporters Wednesday.
“It’s the cheapest form of politics,” Roraback said of the negative campaign ads. “I hope things will change. I don’t know what to expect.”
Roraback said he plans to combat the ads by making sure voters know the truth about Esty.
“I’m going to tell the truth about her,” he said. “For me to beat her, I’m confident that telling the truth will do the trick.”

Did he vote and the rest of his fiscal “conservative” Republicans vote for the 2007 that literally wrecked our state’s economy? YES!!! Perhaps the state should know the facts about you Mr. Roraback. Republicans don’t win because you say one thing yet vote another. Might as well vote for the real Democrat instead one pretends not to be.
