Rove: Linda McMahon is Running a “Really Smart Campaign”
Sheelah Kolhatkar’s fascinating, behind-the-curtain look at Karl Rove’s meeting with Republican billionaires in Bloomberg Businessweek contains this nugget about the Connecticut Senate race:
“In Connecticut, Rove noted that Linda McMahon, the former head of World Wrestling Entertainment, whom he had once written off, was running a “really smart campaign.” And the statem he noted, had moved more to th right. “Those affluent, socially liberal, economically conservative people in Fairfield County and the New York suburbs have finally figured out that their pocketbooks matter more than abortion.”

Rove is usually a clear voice of reason to the chagrin of the left.
Of course she is, Mr. Rove, because she won’t grant interviews, she doesn’t answer questions, and she hopes to muck up the waters before anybody can really look at her closely. Oh, and she has endless pots of her own money to buy…errr…win office. Gilded age much? Shame on the CT GOP for tossing good people (Simmons and Shays) under the WWE bus…..it’s enough to make one be disenfranchised about our system…..
The bottom line is that Romney, Ryan and the Republican party believe that women should not under any circumstances be allowed to have an abortion. This Republican point of view will be written into the Republican platform at the Republican convention and this no more abortion law will become the law of the land if Romney, Ryan and the Republicans win control of our government in the next election or any election thereafter. Women of America, do you want to go back to the days of not being able to end a pregnancy you don’t want? Perhaps many of you women don’t remember those days. Perhaps many of you women don’t remember the days of having to put your life on the line to get an abortion by some inexperienced person in some unhealthy backroom somewhere as you fear arrest for what you are doing. Perhaps you women AND men don’t remember how it was to have your economic well being and your freedom taken away because you are forced to raise a family that you can’t afford or want or wasn’t ready for. Perhaps many of you don’t know that many of you will be forced to give up your dreams for your life because you are going to vote for Romney and the Republicans who are going to pass laws that will outlaw abortions that will make you give up your dreams, your future, your life. This election is about more than just the weekly job numbers which by the way the Republicans in Congress and the rich and the Republicans in the private sector have done all that they could to weaken by their actions. This election is about fairness, equality; ending injustice; rights of many kinds; a right to an abortion; equal pay for equal work; getting some kind of gun control; getting an unbiased Supreme Court; an end to the Bush tax cuts for the rich and an end to voodoonomics; getting Obama’s budget that raises taxes on the rich and cuts the budget in a fairer way; stopping Romney/ Ryan’s plan which is to extend the Bush tax cuts for the rich and unnecessarily increase the military budget while also enacting the Ryan budget plan; getting laws and regulations that protect our environment; regulating Wall Street and stopping rich people’s con games; making the American dream available to all and not just the rich and much much more. That’s why we need to vote for President Obama and the Democrats because if Romney and the Republicans take over our government we will be SORRY!!!
The Republican reporters and T.V. newscasters like Mourning Joe on CNBC and those at FOX write articles and broadcast stories that are idiotic, biased, untrue, one sided, narrow minded articles and news reports about this election just as ALL of you Republicans have been doing for years. Republicans who are reporters are nothing more than a mouth piece for the Republican Party. A reporter writes about the whole picture of a story, something you need to learn how to do. The rich have been screwing us Americans since the days of Reagan with their voodoonomics. That is why there is a revolution in America today between the rich and the Republicans against the rest of America. Sure the rich and the Republicans have gotten many of the religious fanatics and gun nuts and racist people and anti-abortionist and uninformed and others to join the Republican side but the rest of us Americans are hip to what is going on. The rich are pouring massive amounts of money into Romney’s campaign because they know that they will become richer with Romney running our government. Obama doesn’t waste his time cozying up to the rich because he knows how the rich feels so he goes and meets with the rich who care about getting the kind of government together that beliefs that the best way to build America’s economy is from the bottom up and not from the top down as voodoonomics tax cuts for the rich does. Rich people and you Republicans let’s get something straight, it is consumers that make the economy grow by buying products from companies that the rich people own. Giving tax cuts to rich people doesn’t improve the economy because the rich people already have enough money to buy all the things that make the economy grow. The rich already own or can buy all the homes, cars, clothes, food, household goods and other things that can make our economy grow. To get money in the hands of people who are working and making $15,000 to $52,000 a year is the way to make the economy grow because this group of wage earners have barely any money left over to buy anything after they pay their basic living bills. Does EVERYBODY understand that! Now our economy is slow now because we lost 9,000,000 wage earners in America’s worst Recession that was caused by the rich and the Republicans. Obama had to borrow a lot of money to save America and bring us out of the recession. Obama had to shore up the banking system and Wall Street because our money that we had deposited in the banks and the investments we had on Wall Street would of been gone had he not done what he did. Think of the mess that America’s economy would of had if Obama would not done what he did. Of course this led to massive deficits but America, there was no other way out of the mess we were in that the rich and the Republicans caused in the Recession in 2007-2009. Now the Republicans in Congress have been doing all they can to ruin the recovery we are now having by cutting ALL funds to hire new government workers and not fund any new government projects. The Republicans in the private sector also are purposely ruining the economy. The rich own most of the companies in America and most of the rich are Republicans. Many of the big companies in America are making lots of profits yet are cutting their work force to the bone which weakens our economy. The Republicans know that the ONLY way that they can win the election is if the economy is bad. So Americans, do you want to reward the Republicans for ruining our economy by voting for them!
TL; DR. Cool story bro. How many times have you copied and pasted that?
Gawd, I feel a sleep reading that.
