\"ronMembers of the Technology Committee to Release Gun Violence will join San Franciso Mayor Ed Lee, technology investor Ron Conway, Sandy Hook Promise co-founder Tim Makris and parents from Sandy Hook Elementary School at a press conference Thursday morning. According to Sandy Hook Promise the purpose is

\”to announce new initiatives designed to harness technology and innovation to reduce gun violence, including a \’call for ideas\’ to reduce gun violence and a commitment by leading venture capitalists and angel investors to fund promising innovations in gun safety, mental health research and related new technologies.\”
