Republican 5th District congressional candidate Mark Greenberg spent more money than any of his opponents during the second quarter, and most of it was his own.

According to the campaign finance report he recently filed with the Federal Election Commission, Greenberg, who has loaned his campaign $1.49 million, spent $327,057 during the second quarter.

Like his opponents, Greenberg, 58, of Litchfield, spent plenty on paying staff members, consultants, advertisers, photographers and pollsters. He also listed several travel-related expenditures.
