Asked about Linda McMahon’s new TV ad focusing on Obama voters, former congressman Rob Simmons had no comment.

But Simmons sent an email yesterday that provides a glimpse into his thoughts.

“I do not recall ever asking my supporters to support a Democrat presidential candidate [Gore & Kerry] even when the odds were against George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004 in CT,” Simmons wrote. “Please tell me what I’m missing here.”

Meanwhile, the campaign of Democrat Chris Murphy had this to day about his opponent’s attempt to tie herself to his party’s standard-bearer:

“Linda McMahon has been desperately trying to hide her right-wing Republican views from voters for months, but her latest disingenuous campaign stunt is so far beyond the pale that even her own conservative supporters are upset at the blatant dishonesty,” said Eli Zupnick, a spokesman for Murphy. “Linda McMahon supports Mitt Romney and the right-wing Republican agenda when it comes to every issue Connecticut families care about and we think she should listen to her Republican base and stop lying to voters about her conservative policies.”

7 Responses to Simmons On McMahon’s Obama Ad

  1. Richard says:

McMahon’s internal polling must really be bad. Horrible. The thought of losing another $25 million left Linda sleeping with vagrants looking for votes.

  2. Ian W. Bain says:

Linda McMahon is nothing more than
    a glorified Carnival Barker.
This ad makes it very clear.
She will say anything to get people to play her game.
The prizes offered … Chrome plated plastic trinkets.
Grade-school children are attracted to small, shiney objects. Come on people! This isn`t even funny!
I don’t want to live in the state known for putting
Linda McMahon on the floor of The U.S. Senate.

  3. Her website says she wants to repeal ObamaCare. How could someone vote for Obama (and ObamaCare) and then also vote for the wrestling lady who wants to kill ObamaCare?

  4. I Married My Horse says:

If Connecticut gives Linda McMahon a significant position in state and national politics; We should also give Jerry Springer such a position.

  5. Linda McMahon’s TV commercial urging people to split their tickets and vote for President Barack Obama, and her, is disingenuous, desperate, and dishonest.
