It’s all because of the sequester.

A White House recording says that tours of the President’s home will end because of the mandatory across-the-board budget cuts known as the sequester.

“Due to staffing reductions resulting from sequestration we regret to inform that White House tours will be cancelled effective Saturday March 9, 2013 until further notice,” states a recording on the White House Visitors Information line

“We very much regret having to take this action particularly during the popular spring touring season.”

5 Responses to Spring Vacation Crisis: White House Tours Cancelled

  1. Connecticut is Dying Too says:

Does this mean that the multi-million dollar taxpayer funded vacations for the Obama monarchy will be curtailed also?

    Yeah right.

  2. The Conn-servative says:

Fair enough. Then the House of Reps should cancel any Air Force One trips. I think Mrs O + the girls should stimulate the DC economy by visiting the museums and sights in the beltway. I’m sure Bo could find numerous fire hydrants to visit!

  3. Johngaltwhereru says:

Is the Obama Administration telling us that in all of D.C. there are no volunteers knowledgeable enough about the White House to run a few tours?

No, this is another example of the Obama trying to intentionally harm Americans for his own political gain.

Perhaps the Obama’s could eat regular Filet Mignon instead of $100 per pound Kobe Beef. There is one, possibly 2 tours saved per meal.

How about some of the money that Organizing for Action is raising by selling access to Obama to big donors be used to fund the tour guides?

How about Obama pays the guides himself? He makes $400K salary, plus all his other income. He said himself, “at some point you have made enough money.” He desperately wants new taxes on his income level, and for the next 2 years he is not going to get those taxes. I’m sure the amount of money he unfairly keeps instead of being taxed could fund several part time tour guides. If he kept them under 30 hours per week, would not even get crushed by the cost of Obamacare.

Nope, none of these ideas will allow for sufficient harm to Americans, and without sufficient harm, how could Obama make his point?
