If we take away nothing else from this pitiful article, it is that Ms. Hovey really needs to work on her people skills. While politics was probably involved to some extent, Ms. Giffords is one of the unfortunate few who knows what it is like to be in the shoes of the Newtown families. Also unfortunate is the number of people added to that group every day. In the words of Mike & Mike from ESPN, Ms. Hovey should just shut-up.

  2. Janet Sanders says:

How terribly sad that support for families of such a tragedy ends up eliciting shameful threats from a thoughtless politician.

  3. Katherine Rudy says:

    Ms Hovy is an embarrasment….

  4. Alfred Woolfolk says:

Rep Giffords is a great example of overcoming the evils of politics and this world. Rep Hovey you should embrace a great American story of courage and not put it down for political attention.

  5. Kenneth Culbertson says:

It is sad that a person in a position of power has very limited social skills. One has to wonder why politicians need speech writers. Only a person who is not mindful of people would say just a thing. It was obvious of what her intent, not a nice one though she just showed her true self.

Yeah, Hovey. That’s how I show my support for grieving constituents and rally the hurting towns I represent. I take a nice winter “working” vacation to Florida.

Stay out of YOUR towns? Do you personally own the real estate? Please don’t give the world another reason to think up more blonde jokes.
