I’m not even from Connecticut and this is a disgrace. Hovey are you there to comfort these families? What Miss Giffords is doing is truly heart touching and amazing. Just stay in Florida while your state tries to heal.
And this is what the GOP comes up with for public office? Disgraceful for so many reasons.
Partisan politics has no bounds within a small, narrow and selfish mind. One would hope this episode is enough to expose her questionable character and cause the voters to forever relieve her of her heavy burden. This is a disgraceful act that rises beyond all level of contempt and condemnation. If she had any sense of understanding or correctness, she would immediately apologize and resign from the office she does not deserve and should not occupy.
Dogma, you nailed it. This level of primitive, divisive, partisan thinking clearly does not reflect the deep introspection, maturity and just basic intelligence that we need in our national “leaders.”
Debra Lee Hovey is a prime example of the soulessness that has come to define the average Conservative Republican these days. Representative Hovey, these are not “your” towns, they are this country’s towns and this tragedy was a national one, not a partesian one as you would make it out to be. Try taking a bullet to the brain, and then tell us how “political” Gabby’s visit was to her. You and your fellow NRA gun-toting Right Wingers are disgusting, your Party is disgusting and your political motivations for this insensitive public statement is reprehensible. Shame on you, and Shame on your Party. YOU, Rep DebraLee Hovey, are the one who should be “getting out.” Of politics, and NOW.
As someone who grew up in CT. and remembers when the cities, towns and elected officials regardless of party where always united in crisis, I was shocked to read what Debra Lee Hovey said about Rep. Giffords! Where do these soulless people come from and more importantly, how do the get elected? They now are everywhere in our country and what they believe in and pursue is so repulsive that it would be considered primitive if reported from a third world country. Rid us of all of them in the coming elections and let us all get back to a nation of caring and honorable human beings!
In a state that gave us a Linda McMahon for a candidate, Debralee even rises above in terms of depravity, delusion and divisiveness. Even the red hatted republican women of CT should feel shame.
I have a dog who is smarter than you
