Steve Obsitnik First CT Republican To Call For Akin To Quit

The 4th District Republican challenging Democrat Jim Himes calls for Todd Akin to step aside. While Connecticut Republicans running for Congress have not called for him to withdraw, Obsitnik does join Mitt Romney and other Republican leaders across the country in making this demand.

Rep. Akin’s remarks concerning the ‘legitimacy’ of rape are outrageous and intolerable. His beliefs are an affront to victims, and all women, and do not reflect the views of the party I’m running to represent. He should withdraw from the Missouri Senate race immediately.
