What’s the best way to get pedestrians and cyclists across the much-discussed Flower Street crossing of the new
Busway CTfastrak line? A hearing officer has rejected plans to close the crossing to walkers and bikers, saying that the DOT must build a bridge over the future pathway of the bus commuter line.
If you’ve got an idea, the state Department of Transportation wants to hear from you next week:
The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced today that it will be holding a public forum to discuss proposed design concepts for the future Flower Street pedestrian and bicycle bridge that is planned to be built over the Amtrak and CTfastrak routes in Hartford, CT.
As a part of the department’s continued community outreach about the CTfastrak program, the Flower Street public forum for all business professionals, individuals, organizations and associations will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Lyceum, 227 Lawrence Street, Hartford, CT.
