Those Purple Shirts

Mara Lee reports:

\"\"The T-shirts said \”I SUPPORT Obama & McMahon November 6th\” on a vivid purple background, curiously similar to SEIU\’s colors.

People who were paid to stand outside some polling places in Connecticut\’s biggest cities wore them Tuesday.

One of those purple shirts made its way to Service Employees International Union District 1199\’s office, and spokeswoman Deborah Chernoff said, with barely suppressed glee, that the staff would be framing it and hanging it in the union\’s political offices.

SEIU represents more than 19,000 workers in Connecticut, in nursing homes, hospitals, state government, group homes and others.
