Ticket For No Seat Belt For First Lady Cathy Malloy
First Lady Cathy Malloy received a ticket last week for not wearing her seat belt, a spokesman said Tuesday.
Malloy was cited by a Hartford police officer and will be paying the fine for the ticket this week, said Roy Occhiogrosso, a senior advisor to Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.
The state is in the midst of a heightened-awareness period for seat belt violations because the National Click It Or Ticket campaign is running from May 21 through Sunday, June 3.
The news was originally broken by WFSB-TV, Channel 3, of Rocky Hill.

Very nice of you to credit Channel 3 for breaking the story. Maybe someday Channel 3 will give credit to The Courant for all the stories it breaks that Channel 3 then steals. Yeah, fat chance on that one.
Here we go….
The Legislature will probably be called back into special session to enact legislation making it illegal for any law enforcement officer to issue a ticket to a Democrat, and the law will provide amnesty for anyone who has suffered such a personal affront in the last year.
The fine will be payable by the law enforcement agency to the labor union of their choice.
Well at least the system is working. No one is above the law – not even the Mayor’s wife. Thank-you HPD…………….
Mayors wife?
Really up to date on your current events/civics
there Irene!! LOL.

Sweet that the police are becoming willing to arest their own and public officials; also take some heat for handing out tickets to the one’s who have broke laws. Looks like the old mantality of CODE is falling by the way side. I am sure the officer had to think about the sitation a bit more than if it was for me. The fine is only $35 insurance goes up %15 but the imbarisment is priceless. and why do I need to give you my name and E-mail in order to post something?
Riveting reading, just riveting. Pales in comparison to the massacre in Syria actually.
In this day and age, not wearing a seatbelt is purely an indicator of ignorance vs. being above the law.
That cop may have saved her life.
the officer shud get a rase
know he needs to get mr malloy driver
This cop will take beating for doing his job. He will be walking a beat for the rest of his career. I hope not.
HotDam, nice of you to break away from FoxNews to read a newspaper. How can you stand to get your news from something other than from your “fair and balanced” news source. Kudos for making this story a political commentary.
”No one is above the law”—-Really? Does the name Denise Nappier ring a bell?
