UConn Law Holds Marijuana Seminar

The University of Connecticut will take up the state\’s new medical marijuana law in a seminar this Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring state officials and lawmakers.

\"weed\"UConn says the session — “The Palliative Use of Marijuana: Demystifying Connecticut\’s Policy Concerning Medical Marijuana” — will \”focus on the practicality and feasibility of implementing this new law in Connecticut.\”

The program will include Chief State’s Attorney Kevin Kane, state Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner William M. Rubinstein, state Sen. Paul Doyle, state Rep. Elizabeth Ritter and Dr. Andrew Salner Director of the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital.

The seminar will take place at the school\’s Hartford campus.
