The local teachers union in Windham wants a “swift and thorough review” of state-backed education reforms implemented in the district.
The union demand comes as the state board of education has renewed its oversight of the troubled school district. Steven Adamowksi, the state-appointed “special master” has become a lightning rod for opponents of state intervention in Windham, with critics suggesting that the real motive is merely to pad Adamowski’s retirement package. Wouldn’t that be interesting — Gov. Malloy and the state board of education risking all credibility in order to throw a few thousand dollars to Adamowski.
