Longtime union president Bill Henderson of the Communications Workers of America delivered a fiery speech Monday in support of workers at the Connecticut Light & Power Company who say that there are not enough line workers to respond during storms.  Union representatives said there was one line worker for every 2,000 customers in 1976, and now there is one line worker for every 9,120 customers. The company responded by saying they are seeking a fair deal with the union in the ongoing contract negotiations.
