Washington Update: Blumenthal, Murphy Get Committee Assignments

Soon-to-be-Sen. Chris Murphy lands a slot on the Health Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee and the Joint Economic Committee.

Soon-to-be-senior Sen. Richard Blumenthal, meanwhile,  will join the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation and the Veterans Affairs Committee. Blumenthal will remain on Judiciary, Armed Services and the Special Committee on Aging.
