I don’t blame her for not wanting to talk to many in the media who are in the tank for the Democrats. The media has corrupted democracy to where we can trust the government or media these days.
This is the kind of comment that makes me worry about this country. Was does this statement mean? What does it have to do with Linda McMahon’s campaign refusing to take any questions from legitimate reporters?
It means that Lee does not believe in any free speech unless it is Republican free speech. Typical Tea Party totalitarian.
Lee, she must talk to reporters even if they have some bias. How else will we know her ideas and plans? Her TV ads and web site ignore many of the tough issues where her opinion may not be widely accepted.
Linda seems so afraid of talking with the media. I’m puzzled by it. Even with her DOMA gaffe, I don’t get the sense she’s that much of a lightweight. But she’s running for some reason.

McMahon CAN’T answer questions. She has no depth on the issues. Why do you think she’s slamed Chris Murphy with character assasinations? Answer – because if she didn’t she’d have NOTHING to discuss. After the debate it should be obvious to everyone unless your deaf. This from a Republican!
Gives you a good idea of how accountable McMahon would be, were she elected to a six-year Senate term…
What is it that Linda is so scared of? Her lack of basic knowledge on the issues? Or having to clarify where she really stands with regards to the right-wing agenda?
My question for her is two-part. Given that federal taxes are lower than they’ve ever been in our lifetimes, why isn’t the economy roaring along? The follow-up would be which is more important, tax cuts for the top 5%, or reigning in the deficits?
Another question I’d ask is if she understands seniority in the US Senate and whether we should expect her “plan” to be enacted during her first term.
The final thing would be to ask Ms. McMahon to take a personal pledge to attend at least 70% of all her committee meetings, we’re she to get elected….

Hey Sharpshooter….Linda won’t MAKE any appointments with Reporters…that’s the PROBLEM.
She hasn’t met with a single newspaper editorial board. Not one. And she won’t. Have you EVER heard of a political candidate doing that? But she can’t meet with them, because if she does, she’ll be exposed as the naked Empress that she is.
It is entirely appropriate for a reporter from a major news outlet to go to an event and pose questions to a candidate for US Senate.
It is entirely inappropriate for a candidate for US Senate to consistently refuse to submit to reasonable attempts by reporters to do their jobs.
Perhaps if the media used their roll to present factual information rather than being partisan operatives, the candidates might be more willing to participate in unscheduled press events.
Ohhhh, the “partisan media” canard. Just because the FACTS have a liberal bias doesn’t mean the media is biased for reporting them.
I didn’t mention anything about liberal or conservative.
As was noted by a moderator during the debate, neither candidate has made themselves available to the media.
And to believe liberals have a monopoly on facts borders on mental pathology.

Linda is only accessible when she can hide behind her lying ads and her scripted talking points. Beyond those, she is just a big old bag of money, and I cannot wait to see her gone for good.

The wrestling lady is unable to discuss the issues intelligently. Here is a politician who does not want to talk to the press. She does not want all the free press, exposure, getting her message out. I know, it’s all a grand conspiracy against the poor little rich girl. There is not even one reporter she can trust. If she were elected would she even talk to us? You have to talk to the press. I’m pretty sure it’s in the job description. If she had ever done this before she would know. Sadly, she does not.
I’ve finally found out what to do with all of those damned LINDA McMAHON FLIERS that are coming every day now. Between my two houses, I have received about 30 of them so far and, if last election is any guide, I will receive over a hundred of them before Linda has lost another election and killed another forest. It turns out, Linda’s fliers are EXCELLENT KINDLING. I use about ten of them rolled up into little wads and they really get the fireplace going. So who says Linda McMahon has not made a contribution to Connecticut’s families? Not me.
The problem I have about complaining about missing committee hearing when they are dog and pony shows that you can get the info from minutes. 2nd he missed them when he was a freshman congressman which means you barely get a chance to do anything at them. But Chris did show up at the mark up meeting where the real work is done and showed up for over 5000 votes thats whats real counts. So when are people going to stop wasteing time talking about this.
Linda McMahon is running for US Senate and she is refusing to speak to the press. “Make an appointment?” Gimme a break- she has not denied she isn’t talking to the press. Instead, she claims she is “taking her message directly to the people.” Again, gimme a break.
How can you be taken seriously if you won’t answer the tough questions?
Clearly, as seen in the debate, she is clueless on areas she has not been carefully rehearsed.
Seriously, is she the best the GOP can do for US Senate???? Very sad.
The wrestling lady could be a skit on Saturday Night Live with Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler doing the “really” bit on the news:
“Someone who has never held any public office ever?”
“Really?”
“Someone with absolutely no experience?”
“Really?”
“A millionaire trying to buy a Senate seat with her vast fortune?”
