Audit Faults Operator Of City Golf Courses For Lack Of Upkeep; Cites DPW For Lack Of Oversight

The much-anticipated audit of the city’s golf courses is out.

It finds, among other things, that the company operating Keney and Goodwin golf courses failed to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in capital improvements required by its contract, allowing the courses to fall into disrepair.

Auditors also say that MDM Golf Enterprises also had hundreds of trees at Keney Golf Course cut down without the proper permission.
