The city of Hartford’s website remained down Friday, three days after it got hacked.

Maribel La Luz, the mayor’s spokeswoman, told Cityline Tuesday afternoon that the city is “continuing to strengthen our website security. In IT this is referred to [as] ‘hardening a website.’”

We’ve reached out to La Luz for an update.

UPDATE at 1:04 p.m.: La Luz sent us an email: “Right now the site is up on our server but we are testing it thoroughly before we go live. We’re not risking the website having any vulnerabilities before it goes up. I would like to say today [close of business] but I cannot confirm.”

UPDATE on Saturday: Hartford.gov is back online.
