Deutsch: There Should Be A Criminal Investigation

by Categorized: Business, City Council, City Hall Date:

Following all the news about Hybrid and what happened to a $670K “non-payment” from the insurance broker to two of the city’s insurance carriers, Cityline reached out to a few people to inquire about a criminal investigation. The state’s insurance department is currently investigating Hybrid.

This morning, city Councilman Larry Deutsch, a member of the Working Families Party, said in an e-mail that he intends to send a letter to Chief State’s Attorney Kevin Kane asking his office to investigate Hyrbid.

“I appreciate your research into insurance/BOE/Segarra/Cloud matter…As you know, [it] is hectic at city hall,” he wrote in the e-mail. “I’ve had no time for careful verification … and may be away for a couple of days, but rest assured we’ll not hesitate to refer to state’s attorney’s office promptly with basis pinpointed.”

Stay tuned.
