State Pulls O’Garro’s Insurance License

A week before it was set to hold a hearing on an 11-count complaint against Earl O’Garro Jr., the man at the center of a Hartford controversy, the state has pulled his insurance license and the license for his company, Hybrid Insurance Group.

Next week’s hearing has been cancelled. O’Garro has 60 days to contact the state if he wants to reopen the decision.

City and state officials were expected to testify today before a federal grand jury at U.S. District Court in Hartford on the Hybrid Insurance controversy.
