We Live On The Head of a Pin

See this guy with me? His name is Rob Langweil. So yesterday, he’s sitting with his wife Lisa in the Cafe Kleber in Trocadero, and he’s thinking maybe he’d like to try the Velib, Paris’s public bike system, and he watches these two schmoes pedal up get off their bikes and lock them against a Metro fence,  and he’s watching the locking part very carefully to see how it works.  And then he realizes that one of the schmoes is photographer Steve Laschever who lives across the street from him on Riggs Avenue is West Hartford. The other one is me.  Laschever and I are traveling on an assignment from Bicycling mag right now.  Head of a pin, I tell you.

And, oh, Rob is a Bicycling subscriber.
