Aetna Closes On Acquisition Of InterGlobal

Aetna said Wednesday it completed its acquisition of InterGlobal from a group of shareholders, including majority shareholder Alchemy Partners.

InterGlobal is a private medical insurer serving customers in Europe, Asia and Africa. Aetna did not disclose terms of the acquisition, which was first announced in November 2013.

InterGlobal has about 300 employees, mostly in the United Kingdom, Dubai and Singapore, a network of more than 3,000 providers and more than 65,000 members worldwide, Aetna said.
