Magellan Completes $100 Million Acquisition

Magellan Health Services Inc. of Avon said Tuesday it has completed its purchase of Partners Rx, a pharmacy-benefits management company based in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The acquisition was announced in early September.

Magellan paid $100 million with cash on hand to acquire the company, which was founded in 2001 and has more than 300,000 people covered through its commercial business. Partners Rx is expecting annual revenue this year of $240 million.
