Fact-checking Obama on Family Income Growth

As Obama has been talking about long-term problems with the American economy this week, he said that the typical family has seen no real growth in income, after inflation, for decades, even before the recession.

While it’s true that the richest Americans have been pulling away from everyone else, the Washington Post fact-checked his claim here, and showed that the median family income rose 15 percent over 28 years.
