Free Job Searching Advice After Christmas

by Categorized: Uncategorized Date:
Big companies usually hire outplacement firms like Challenger, Gray & Christmas to help employees they are laying off.
The company is offering that advice free to job seekers on December 27 and December 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The phone number is (312) 422-5o1o.
The company encouraged job seekers not to despair. In September alone, it noted, employers hired 4,185,000 workers.
In the announcement of the call-in service, CEO John Challenger said,  “It is important to remember that the employment market is a fluid environment – it is constantly changing.  Not every job loss is due to cost cutting.  More than half of the 4,024,000 separations in September were people quitting their jobs.  Another 340,000 retired, transferred to new locations, or left due to disability.  Some are let go as part of layoffs, but many are let go for cause or because they simply were not a good fit for the job.
