Hartford Despatch Shrinking

by Categorized: Uncategorized Date:

Hartford Despatch, a moving company based in East Hartford, has let go most of its 25-person staff as it transitions to a warehouse operation only.

“We’re getting out of the moving operations,” said president Anson Mooney. “I’m only going to have a skeleton crew of three or four.”

Mooney said the taxes and regulatory environment in Connecticut were too high to make it worth it to stay in the moving business.

All moves that had been scheduled for coming weeks and months have already been transferred to another local Allied van lines operator, Mooney said.

This story should be on the front page of the Courant every day for a year until the voters figure it out.

true, they actually could run a different one every day from what i read(and if not how about a restaurant or store or parochial school closing) Conn’s motto should be changed from “he who transplants sustains” to “of, by and for the government worker”
