EDITOR’S NOTE: An earlier version of this story listed the company name as Océ Business Services.  The correct name of the company making cuts is Océ North America.  This story has been corrected.

Océ North America, a Dutch printing services company with U.S. Headquarters in Trumbull, is cutting 124 workers in Trumbull, 10 in Shelton and one in East Hartford. Most terminations will come on December 31st, but some will follow next year.

Commercial printing is a field that has been hurting for some time because of the changes the Internet has brought.

Océ-USA spokesman Jim Magrone said Océ was bought by Canon Inc. of Japan three years ago, and these cutbacks are the consequence of consolidation planned since that purchase.

He said there are several hundred workers in Trumbull, and the jobs that are being eliminated are office jobs at all levels.
