The Stamford Innovation Center, part of the state’s new innovation ecosystem, will be offering lectures, workshops and classes beginning this month. An offering can cost as little as $10 or as much as $199.
“We believe that people learn by doing, not just by listening,” said Barry Schwimmer, founder and managing partner of the Stamford Innovation Center. “The top-notch instructors we bring to the Center don’t just explain theory — they help class participants put innovation skills to use in their own businesses right away.”

PR Boot camp & PR Showdown, Tuesday, April 9, 2 to 5 p.m.. Participants will create a campaign during the bootcamp, and present them to an audience including reporters, bloggers and media executives.
The Power of Storytelling, Tuesday, April 23, 1 to 5 p.m. or 7 to 9 p.m. A writing coach will help people improve their pitches, presentations and memos.
The Three Stages of Business Development, Wednesday, April 24, to 9 p.m. Bridget Williams, senior vice president of Business Insider, will talk about growing businesses and making deals to buy or be acquired, including negotiations and when to walk away.
Building Effective Email and Newsletter Campaigns, Wednesday, April 24, 7 to 9 p.m. How to write a marketing email, how to choose an outside provider, and how to test its effectiveness.
Ask the Data Scientist, Tuesday, May 7, 7 to 9 p.m. Daniel Krasner and Ian Langmore of Johnson Research Labs and Columbia University will discuss the latest in Big Data.
