If Richard Blumenthal was still Connecticut’s attorney general, you would have expected to see him square in the eye of television camera Thursday, as U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced a historic foreclosure settlement with five big banks Thursday in Washington.
But George Jepsen? He’s a little lower key.
Still, there Jepsen was, right behind Holder on the dais, as the television cameras rolled at the nationally-televised event, just a couple people down from President Obama.
Jepsen said afterwards there was no jockeying for position, and there were no assigned spots. All the lining up was done in a staging area.
“I got that spot from luck,” Jepsen said.
