Bank of America, Connecticut’s largest bank, is sponsoring a mortgage assistance outreach program next week in Cromwell for borrowers facing foreclosure.

The bank said it has invited more than 4,200 customers in the Hartford area to the event, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday at the Crowne Plaza Hartford in Cromwell. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.

The event, open only to Bank of America customers, will provide borrowers with face-to-face meetings with the bank representatives. The bank also has partnered with the local, non-profit Mission of Peace to provide financial counseling.

Customers can register for the event and find a list of required documents at www.bankofamerica.com/homeownerevent, or by calling 1-855-201-7426. Appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day.

For customers unable to attend the event, similar help is available at the bank’s Customer Assistance Center in Southington. The center’s telephone number is 1-855-848-9052, or 1-800-846-2222.
