Coldwell Banker Acquires Competitor In Fairfield County
Ridgefield-based Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage acquired the three offices of a competitor in Fairfield County, bolstering its presence along Connecticut’s Gold Coast.
The offices of Richter Real Estate, Inc. in Fairfield, Stratford and Trumbull will be merged into Coldwell Banker offices in Fairfield and Trumbull. Richter has done business as Century 21 HomeServices Richter Real Estate.
Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
The firm’s owners, Paul Richter and Robert Richter, and their 78 sales associates will join Coldwell Banker.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage also has been expanding aggressively in the Hartford market, acquiring smaller competitors.
The company, part of NRT LLC, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage, has 50 offices in Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y. and 2,100 sales associates.
