You’d think commercial property owners in downtown Hartford would be worried about the double-digit declines in the values of their buildings since the 2006 city revaluation.

But they’re not, in fact, many are arguing that the losses have been even steeper.

Not great for property values, but a boost when tax time comes.

  1. I can see how the city would be biased toward the one appraisal model over the other. If the property owners win the appeal, I hope the city is able to make good on its obligation.
