Hamilton Point Investments, a real estate investment group based in Old Lyme, has put a block of 129 units out of a total of 180 in the building up for sale, according to Rick Chozick, of Chozick Realty, which has the listing.

The units are being marketed without an asking price, Chozick said.

Hamilton Point Investments did not return telephone calls Wednesday seeking comment.

Since the units in the Wells Street building were converted to condos in the late 1980s, the majority have been held by a single owner and rented out. The remaining 51 units are individually owned and weren’t involved in the foreclosure.

Chozick said the residential units up for sale are 98-percent occupied. Hamilton Point’s stake also includes 27,000 square feet of office space on two floors. The commercial space is 90 percent occupied, Chozick said.
