by Categorized: Uncategorized Date:

Longtime Prudential Connecticut Realty President Candace Adams took over the responsibilities as the company’s chief executive on Jan. 1.

Adams, who has been with the company since 1997 and has served as president since 2005, succeeds Peter Helie in the CEO post. Helie will continue as chairman.

As CEO, Adams will add the duties of long-term strategic planning, growth and expansion to her duties as president. Her responsibilities as president have largely focused on day-to-day operations of the company.

Last year, Prudential Connecticut Realty was acquired by HomeServices of America Inc., an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway. Berkshire Hathaway is headed by billionaire investor Warren Buffett.

The company is expected to take the HomeServices name later this year.

Helie, purchased Prudential Connecticut in 1998, will no longer be involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.

“I am extremely confident that she will continue to grow and expand the company and deliver the highest level of service to our customers and sales associates,” Helie said.

Under Adams’ guidance, the company has grown over 46 percent and now has a sales force of 1,400 and 52 locations throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.

    Congratulation Candace!
Your hard work has paid off and we see the quality of Prudential every day in our business.
Locally, we have worked with Beth D’Loreto in your Middletown offices and have also placed new salespeople in your Gladtonbury offices.
We look forward to continuing our training of new associates for the new “Home Services”.
    Sincerely,
    Bob Allen
