Homeowners who are in danger of the mortgage default or foreclosure can learn about possible options at a state-sponsored mortgage assistance event April 17 in New Haven.
The event, the fifth in a series of similar events around the state, is sponsored by the offices of the governor, attorney general and banking commissioner. The event will be held at the Omni New Haven Hotel from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The following banks and servicers are among those participating in the event: Bank of America, CitiMortgage, First Niagara Bank, HSBC National Bank USA, JPMorgan Chase & Co., McCue Mortgage, Ocwen Loan Servicing/GMAC Mortgage, People’s United Bank, PNC Mortgage, U.S. Bank Home Mortgage, Webster Bank and Wells Fargo Bank.
In addition, there will be HUD-approved housing counselors, the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, court foreclosure mediators and others.
