Donald Trump may have set his sights on his next big investment: Plum Island.
Trump, the real estate giant and television reality star, tells the Associated Press that he’d consider buying the 843-acre island in Long Island Sound.
The federal government has put the island up for sale but has met with stiff opposition from environmentalists and some lawmakers who want to block the sale. They fear a sale could lead to development and the destruction of natural habitats.
