Webster Bank is throwing an open house, but it’s not the kind you think.
On June 9, Webster will host an event at 18 branches around Connecticut for prospective homebuyers, bringing together all aspects of home purchasing, including the real estate agent.
Webster mortgage officers will determine if the potential home buyers pre-qualify for a mortgage, and the agents will have listings from the local area.
The event is free and a reservation is not required.
“This is a first of its kind for Webster Bank,” Webster spokesman Sarah Barr said. ” We’ve done homebuyer and other educational seminars in the past, but this time we wanted to provide more value to this service and having so many people with different expertise all under one roof…took this information to a new level.”
The event also is being held at Webster branches in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
