Public stockholders will be able to buy into the world’s most famous skyscraper as the Malkin Family, majority owner of the 102-story icon, goes public with its real estate investment trust. This could mean even more wealth for the family of Sen. Richard Blumenthal, whose wife, Cynthia, is the daughter of company chairman Peter Malkin. Blumenthal spent at least $2.3 million of his own money on his 2010 campaign.
